We support three kiwifruit, three dairy and one sheep and beef enterprise.

We’ve extended the Hamama kiwifruit orchard on Te Kaha 14B2 by 0.3 hectares. Vines have been planted and are being trained. A water bore has been drilled on Te Kaha 14B2 and we’ve found good water. We’re progressing to resource consent to take the water. Additional development of the block is planned for next year.

The farming enterprises we support continue to perform well, in spite of the impacts of the market and climate over the year.

Sheep and beef and dairy farming have out-performed in terms of profitability for the year. Our enterprise portfolio showed a significant net profit out-performance to date. For the year, we are up $476,000 against budget. This is a combination of better than anticipated results on our kiwifruit orchards and sheep and beef station, and dairy holding its own.
